Michael Snedeker serves as the executive vice president of Elite Building Corp located in Waltham which has been a part of the boom in construction in the city of Boston as well as the greater Boston area in the last years or so. Michael Snedeker’s venture has contributed to his team members making Kimpton Nine Zero and luxury development in Boston a reality, in addition to projects in Waltham. In the flurry of all of the construction that took place last year, the high rise is at the center of Boston’s reinvention. Of the many construction starts in the city, at least five will culminate in a high rise. The Winthrop Square Tower is poised to be the city’s fourth-tallest building reaching almost 700 feet. Billed as being the most significant tower in the area, the Winthrop will house office, retail, residential, and dining space. Its defining feature is the Great Hall which connects the Financial District to the Square. More importantly, the building is hoping to revitalize the area. Developers are also on course to refurbish the existing Fenway Center. Construction will take place in two phases and upon completion will result in a parking garage (7-22 storeys high), residential units, and four buildings. The center is located near Fenway Park, which should revitalize the entire area. Another project next to the Back Bay Station will result in 1.26 million-square-foot spaced that will be for mixed-use. Office space, retail, residential space, a retail expansion of the Back Bay Station, and redevelopment of Dartmouth Street Garage will significantly impact the area and is a major investment in the city. These are just two of the major projects in the city. Other high rise projects planned for this year include the one at One Dalton and the Hub on Causeway. As the third tallest building, One Dalton is expected to redefine the Boston skyline and will contain condos and a hotel. The Hub is significant because it will be the new entrance off of Causeway and will culminate in over 400 residential units, a hotel, and 651,000 square of office space.
